My controller worked with Fallout 4 before, but for some reason, I can't get it to work again. (My boyfriend is the one who installed it and used it months before we got together, and even he doesn't know how to fix this.) |

Scp Ps3 Controller Driver Install Long Island
You are on which version of Windows ? Because it seems that Creators Update (rs2/rs3) releases breaks SCPToolkit. I say that, because i'm actually on Creators Update (rs3_release) and I can't get it to work. |

I'm using windows 10. I don't know what version we're using. Unless the updater changes the version automatically. |

Well, please see the issue I've made at #888 and try if it works for you, since it did work for me. |

I am still unable to get the controller to work. I don't know what the problem is. Perhaps I did something wrong? |

USB. I can't get the bluetooth to work at all. |

Seems odd... Go to SCPDriver.exe and below uncheck Bluetooth Install, and try 'Force Install' |
commented Aug 16, 2017
I get an unexpected error when I do that. |
commented Aug 16, 2017
Hmm... Uncheck Force Install. |

Couldn't request bluetooth host. A device attached to the system is not functioning. (This may be the issue) Unexpected error, Reference not set to an instance of an object Couldn't initialize sound engine, Could not find part of the path. (This issue has been going on since I discovered that it wasn't working.) |

Okay, I see what can cause it. Go to your file explorer, right click on Your PC and click on 'Manage' Go to your Peripherics, and search for 'Bluetooth' or 'Universal Serial Bus' and try to search for 'PLAYSTATION 3 CONTROLLER'. When you found it, right click on it to uninstall this driver, and then retry. |

hey ShadixAced, I have the same problems that LadyDeath1138 was having, except it's the PS4 controller. yesterday I installed the USB and Bluetooth drivers on the scp toolkit, and the controller worked on steam and on the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. and today I attempted to use the bluetooth functionality, needless to say I failed to get it to work, I even installed Sixaxis tool kit, and still couldn't figure it out. I then uninstalled all the scp toolkit drivers and reinstalled them, restarted my system, and now the controller doesn't work anymore, I uninstalled/reinstalled all the drivers, went to the system manager like you told LadyDeath1138, didn't find a PS4 controller driver. the controller doesn't work at all now when I press the sony symbol while connected via usb. but the controller is functional when I unplug it. help me please. |

@Alwayswithproblems BT or USB connected ? |
commented Dec 30, 2017
It was USB connected. Thank you for the response but I finally figured out a fix. I uninstalled the SCP Toolkit entirely, but still kept the setup.exe. I then unplugged and plugged the controller, afterwards installed the SCP toolkit from the setup.exe, and checked Bluetooth and PS4 Controller on the toolkit driver installers. After installing them the controller let up (the blue light that emits when the controller is on) and it worked on steam and the fore mentioned game. The only thing off about this solution is that the PC reads the controller as an Xbox 360 one, even in the Witcher it displays Xbox buttons on tutorials. But at least I can play the game with a controller now. |
[SOLUTION]: upgrading from the ScpToolkit v1.6.238.16010 release to the pre-release ScpToolkit v1.7.277.16103-BETA (uninstall old, install new) fixed all the listed problems; only reoccurence left is that the service doesn't start immediately after system restart, but that can be fixed with the solution @jacobmix suggested by making a shortcut for it.
Hello SCPToolkit dev team,
When I first discovered this SCPToolkit method to use my DS3 on PC, everything was working as intended for a while (the start was probably just a little bit more than 1 year prior to this post). Meaning that even after PC restart, whenever I plug my DS3 in it gets recognized and is ready to use and play games with.
Recently, for probably more than quite a few months now, everytime I want to use my DS3 controller with SCPToolkit I have to reinstall the drivers. Whenever I do this, I might even need to run it a couple of times to work properly (not to mention it sometimes disables my USB keyboard and wireless mouse in the process - in that case I just unplug them before I run the installation).
So the issues summed up are:
Scp Playstation Driver
1. After every restart, my DS3 controller does not get recognized, and is not ready to use (all 4 red lights blinking)
2. There are times, when shortly after reinstalling the drivers (maybe within 5 or 10 minutes), the driver shuts down or some sort, making my controller unable to be used again, making me re-do the installation again until it works. Whenever this happens, usually a small error window appears with a red cross, stating something wrong with .NET Frameworks.
3. Even with every other USBs unplugged, there are times, when there are some other possible DS3 controllers detected, putting the real DS3 controller on the secondary position (I know I can move it up to the first using the Monitor program).
From the top of my head, these are the issues the come to my find.
Thank you for your great work, I appreciate what you guys are doing, and thank you for helping me!
