Games and software that work natively with a 360 controller will recognize the Xbox One controller as a 360 controller. Also, for games that dont support controllers, there is a great app on steam, Controller Companion, that is less than 2 bucks, allows you to mimic mouse and keyboard functions, and even has keyboard support now too for the 360.
Xbox One Controller Driver For Pc
Xbox One Controller Issue
Greetings fellow Redditors! First off Happy Friday! I hope the majority of you reading this have the coming weekend off & that some serious gaming gets done. With that in mind, I'm having a bit of an issue. I am hopeful someone here has dealt with this very problem & can offer some kind of solution so I can get my game on! Issue: My Xbox One controller was working great for Steam games run on my PC. I updated to Windows 8.1 & had to reinstall the Steam client as well as the Xbox One x64 driver for the controller. Everything seems to work great until I get hit or fall in a game & the vibration mechanism starts up in the pommel. The PC immediately plays the sound it does when a USB device is disconnected. If I unplug & plug the controller back in it seems to work fine until it happens again. I disabled vibration in the game options and while that let me get through a few encounters, it ultimately disconnected still. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I'm dying to get into Shadow of Modor but the constant disconnecting issue is making that nearly impossible.
Second controller not working (Xbox One wireless controller w/ adapter)
Steam Xbox One Controller Drivers
I've been attempting to play several games for the better part of two weeks and the second controller isn't working. I've looked around this sub and online and haven't seen any sort of help so I'm hoping someone else may have come across this problem recently and have a working solution. I opted in for Steam beta updates and that didn't help.
Thanks for any suggestions and hope everyone is having a good one.
Edit: I figured it out. It was the drivers for my Logitech keyboard/mouse combo that was affecting it. I simply disabled Setpoint and it worked again. Just keeping this up here in case someone deals with a similar problem.
