I already have a driver installed for my audio card. Btw i have a C-media PCI CMI8768. But when I use Add Hardware it finds an unknown driver called Multimedia Audio Controller, but I can't find.

I got pc from Japan with the operating system in Japanese Language I formatted the hard to load new operating system english version,now I have problem multimedia contrller drivers please if you can send me free drivers I will appreciate so much my compter model is NEC Value Star VL 500/4.

First download Belarc utility program from this site http://www.belarc.com/free_download.htmlBelarc will identify your motherboard and sound chip
then google the sound chip id and find the download site and download the 'audio driver'
then install it - reboot and you should have sound.
